Development Phase
  • Use text, storyboards, graphics, audio, and/or video to bring your design to life by assembling all these elements into a compelling course.
Implementation Phase
  • Deliver your course to its audience
Evaluation Phase
  • When the effectiveness of your course is assessed by measuring the level of your audience's learning and retention, as well as how well your project's goals have been met.

Evaluate & Revise
  • Evaluate whether or not the objectives were met.
  • Consider editing your materials and revising the course based on your findings during this process.

  • They have stages for designers to follow:  Addie has 5 stages, Assure has 6 stages, and Rapid ISD has 4 stages.
  •  Addie and Assure models both ask the designer to analyze the learners and base their instruction off of their analysis. 
  • They all require the designers to state their objectives.
  • They all intend to help the learners reach instructional goals.

  • They all have a different amount of stages.
  • Addie and Assure models have an analysis phase, where as, Rapid ISD has a preparation stage.
  • Assure wants particular attention paid to the integration of technology.
  • Assure & Rapid ISD would like games and hands on activities incorporated, where as, Addie focuses more on text, storyboards, and graphics.
  • Addie and Rapid ISD do not have a particular stage for the role of the student. However, Assure has a stage called "require learner participation" which focuses on the learner's role in the design.
