As a tenured faculty member, I believe that my job is safe. However, many of my non-tenure-track colleagues have been informed that they will have their pay cut or their workload increased next semester. Some have already been told that their position will be terminated. The University has not provided us with any information about what departments and programs and positions they are cutting, so it's impossible to know how far these cuts will go. I hate having to constantly check in with my colleagues about whether we are still colleagues, or whether they have been quietly dismissed.

As a non tenure-track faculty member, I am extremely worried. Many people in my department have had their teaching loads reduced or changed. Our budget is being cut by 10%, which means we're losing classes and the people who teach them.

My labor is being exploited. I’m being asked to do more and more for the same amount of pay. In fact, with the pitiful raises and rising cost of living and inflation, I’m effectively getting a pay cut in terms of real wages. CSU has shown that Rams do not in fact take care of Rams.

It’s disturbing that our freedom of speech is being violated and CSU is complying with threats. Many other Universities have not erased DEI from their websites. It’s shameful that CSU a land grant University is not holding up its mission to ensure inclusivity.

I had to remove DEI language from a grant proposal that is 3 years old. Again this past week I had to remove the words race, ethnicity, and gender and remove all references cited that has these words. Has anyone even considered how far reaching the illegal executive orders are? Researchers will be cited less! It impacts tenure and promotion and is a severe threat to science. Why is CSU not standing up to protect faculty and science?

As a result of the withdrawal of EPA funding, a program that covered the Intermountain West had to cease its operation. This resulted in a good number of people losing their employment, including two at CSU. This, months after the funding had been committed.
