• Frédéric Chopin was born on 22nd February, 1810 in Warsaw. He was a well-knowned genius. He grew up, completed his music education and composed many works in Warsaw before leaving Poland for Vienna in 1830. At the age of 21, he settled in Paris after the November 1830 Uprising. Chopin was always sick. As a teenager, he suffered long bouts of respiratory illness. For the rest of his life, he dealt with frequent episodes of bronchitis and laryngitis.
• Chopin created many successful masterpieces. All his typical works consisted of 59 mazurkas, 27 Études, 27Preludes, 21 Nocturnes, 20 Waltzes, 18 Polonaises, 4 ballades, 3 piano sonatas. Chopin’s works is typically emotional since it was said to draw inspiration from many different aspects of life.
• Throughout his life, he made some important achievements. In particularly, he invented the instrumental ballade and made major innovations to the piano sonata, mazurka, waltz, nocturne, polonaise, étude, impromptu, scherzo andprélude.
