La asamblea le declara la guerra a Austria y Prusia
termina las funciones ejecutivas del rey Luis XVI cuando es invadido el palacio de Tullerías.

El 20 de septiembre de 1792 se instauró la Convención Nacional, dio fin a la monarquía y apareció la República.

1793 el rey Luis XVI es ejecutado en publico un 21 de enero, días mas tarde su esposa, ambos por la guillotina

Entre 1793 y 1794 se instaura el reino del terror, a la cabeza de Maximilien Robespierre. En 1794 la popularidad de Robespierre desaparece y se levantó una revuelta popular que lo derrocó.

El 9 de noviembre de 1799 se llevó a cabo un golpe de Estado por parte de Napoleón que pone fin a la revolución Francesa.
