You are under jurisdiction of the officers and NCOs above you. You train, survive and work what ever MOS you go into. Some get deployed around the globe to fight for the country in which hired them and/or for those in need. After those 4 harsh years, you have the choice of going home and doing whatever you may please. Or, reenlisting under a contract for a second term of 4 years. Those who come home, often aren't so well off. The memories of what they have experienced traumatize them and conquer their minds. PTSD or post-traumatic stress disorder is just one of the many common disabilities of veterans. This cause them not to be able to work. Which means no income. Which means people who fought for our country are not cared for.
