This is one of our favorite bans, because it's very rhythmic and follows the notes of a song that gives us energy to face Sunday activity💪🏻
Also, it seems complicated and for this reason our scout group still hasn't learned it after three years!!😆😆

Hey there! We are the Panthers squadron from the Piacenza 4 parish! Our colors are green like the jungle, of which we are the queens, and black like our coat.

Pisarei e fasò 🍲

Here is one of the typical dishes of our city: Pisarei e fasò. Is a plate made of little pasta pieces ears-shaped, topped with beans and tomato sauce. It may look like an unappealing dish, but the sauce makes it all delicious. It's a poor plate eaten by farmers, and for this reason, is easy to do and the ingredients are cheap. Today this plate is served in most part of the restaurants of our city, and you can't visit Piacenza without trying it!

This it's our squadron corner where every Monday we meet to do services, organize activities and stay together 🥰
It is our refuge but also a corner where we keep many memories among the billboards and notebooks of the past years because we want to preserve the memories so as not to forget the experiences that have united us!

This is our Second International Enterprise, and we intend to share with another squadron what we do at Scouts and a little about our city's traditions.
Our goal is to make a cultural exchange to discover how you scout in your country through sharing. 🤗

Our journey 🤩

We meet almost every Sunday in the parish church and after the flag-raising, we all go to mass together: the men's department is on the benches on the right while the women's department is on those on the left. When we return from mass we gather under the headquarters and usually play a game or a ban. Our favorite game is without a doubt Bulldozer, where you have to run to the opposite side of the field without being captured by the "Bulldozer"… that has to lift you. If you get lifted you become a bulldozer and the last one standing wins.
After the squadron in charge has presented the game, we do the actual activity, where we work on our squadron feats, have spiritual moments, and perform the services:
-Cleaning internal
-Cleaning external
-Roll of Honor
-Games and bans to be proposed
-Mass service
-Jolly

Then, we present our specialty works, where we can bring a work such as research or an activity about a topic we choose. When we have done three works about a specific topic, we get a badge. The great thing is that when we have three badges, we can try to get a much more important one called competence: to get Competence we attend to a national camp, and then we do a "mission" that the leaders assign to us. Our Enterprise of International works the same way, only the whole squadron is involved, and not an individual as in specialties. The squadron does two enterprises on the chosen topic (we have chosen International), and finally, the chiefs assign it a mission. In the end, the squadron can participate in a national camp, the Green Guidons are very prestigious and it is difficult to go there. After the guidons we are given a new flag: the Green Guidon. We are working hard to reach them and this job made with you is a part of this route <3<3

At the end of the journey, we do the lowering of the flag and say goodbye. We will meet again this week at the squadron meeting and every Sunday with the whole department.

Our presentation

Our group is called 'Rosaire', we are 42 young girls and 7 are composing the staff.
We have 5 squadrons within our group: the Galagos, the Panthers, the Cougars, the Cobras and the Falcons. Each of them is composed by more or less 8 girls. Each squadron has of course its leaders and its deputy leader.
I myself am a member of the staff, I'm in charge of accounting.
Our girls are very different in so many ways and we try to 'mix' those personalities when we compose the squadrons so they get to know each other better and don't just stay with people who are exactly like them. We believe it is a way to grow up and learn more about yourself.

A day with the Belgian scouts

We meet every two Sundays (so twice a month). We are located in locals next to our home church. We go to the church twice a year (once for Christmas).
What we do on Sundays varies all the time. The staff organizes the games, it's never the squadrons. We usually imagine a big game with a theme (we love to disguise ourselves) which will be during all day. At noon, we eat all together and, at the end of the day, we take a snack together at our local that one of the squadron prepares (it changes every Sunday).
Then we say our goodbyes and give every important informations.

Summer camp recipe

We have many typical dishes we do during our summer camp (and only there ^^).
One of those, which we usually do at the end of the camp, is sausages with applesauce and crisps. I know it's particular but it's really delicious and comforting!
Another one is a tomate fondue: simply tomato sauce with cheese. We eat it with bread that we dip in the sauce ! I think that one is my favorite <3
