Steve is still in jail. His parents try to stay optimistic even tough it’s very hard. Steve feels luke his father is looking to and seeing a monster instead of his own son.He wants to be away from this place so badly. Steve just wants to get back to his old life when everything was so simple. Detective Williams said that Nesbitt died because of trauma to the internal organs putting the victim in a state of shock. The lungs filled in with blood. He drowned in his own blood. If the judges consider Steve guilty, he will be serving about 25 years in jail. His whole life will be gone by then. Steve was in the drugstore to get some mints and simply walked out. During Bobo Evans testimony, he says that Steve was supposed to be the lookout. Setve had to go inside and check if they were any police. Bobo claims that King killed Nesbitt and assumed he was drunk or high because it was unnecessary to kill him. All of this information didn’t make Setve look good in front of the jury. In fact, it could of made him more guilty.

Connection with a Tv show

I chose to connect “Monster” with a Tv show called “the Fosters”.
"The Fosters” is a well known show talking about a 16 year old girl who just got out of jail. She struggles to fit in her new “family”. I think that the two of them ressemble each other because they both talk about a sixteen year old that commited a crime and had to serve justice for it. In “Monster” we don’t know yet if Steve is guilty, but saying he was, will make “Fosters” and “Monster” even more identical. “Monster” and “Fosters” are both criminal referred stories and have some action in it.
