The biosphere and the hydrosphere are kind of connected when it comes to drought. When there is a drought the hydrosphere starts to dry up. So that means that the animals and plants in the biosphere start to die out or suffer because the animals and plants do not have the water that brings them nutrients that help them maintain homeostasis.

The sunlight energy and very little rain fall is the main cause of a drought. When a specific area doesn’t get a lot of rain the land start to become dry, because the sun evaporates the water/moisture from the area. This means the amount of water the land has, becomes sparse. Which leads to the biosphere dying because of the lack of water.

The ground starts to crack from the dryness, the water evaporates, the plants and animals become dehydrated and die, and the air/ wind becomes warm from the heat energy warming it.
