Knights were the best and most feared soldiers on the battlefield but they didn't fight for the money.

Knights simply fought because they believed it was the right thing to do. Knights were taught the rules of chivalry as soon as the age of 7 which is why knights were known as some of the best-mannered people In society (Cartwright). The definition of chivalry is a moral and social code An act of chivalry could be as simple as holding a door open to fighting for a king without receiving money (Flori).
Knights were The NBA of soldiers and of that Sir Galahad was the Michael Jordan. Knights were trained to hunt, use weapons and, ride horses with only legs and knees at a very young age Sir Galahad exceed at this which explains why he was an excellent jouster and an ultimate soldier (Cartwright). Sir Galahad is best known for finding the holy grail and in some stories taking it on to the next life, this is a point that proves that Sir Galahad was the cream of the crop of knights(Cartwright).
The Knights Templar saved many Christians and were some of the best soldiers in the Crusades without The Knights Templar the dark ages would have been pitch black. The order started when seven knights vowed to protect Christian pilgrims, once it became recognized by the pope it was an actual order. The Knights Templar was devoted to helping Christian holy sites and fighting in the Crusades even with this group the Christians managed to lose the majority of the Crusades.
