Recap in your own words: British soldiers were looking for ammunition and patriot leaders , patriots and British line up across from each other and someone fired a shot but no ones knows who did , then they just shot back and forth. The soldiers march on to Boston , but the colonists followed them with more men and caused the British soldiers to retreat back to Boston embarrassed . This gave the colonists hope that they could win this war.

Who won and why: The Colonists won because they had more men and outnumbered the soldiers

Recap in your own words: when they arrived at the camp , it was in the middle of winter. They had a lack of food, clothes , it was overcrowded and many became very ill. There were 10,000 men , some Irish, french, African Americans , polish , and natives. They began training and because of their training and the harsh environment , they improved in discipline and organization .

George Washington wanted to get into New York but couldn't because the British were their so he sent false battle plans that the British found , which led them away from New York. They were then met by the British troops and marched south to Virginia . For George Washington's plan to work, they had to surround Yorktown including the water. Fortunately, a navy French troop arrived before the British navy troop did and fought and beat them. The colonists then launched a siege and kept bombarding , and attacking the British , Cornwallis would not surrender though . Finally , on October 19,1781 , he surrendered .

Who won and why: the colonists won because of the help from the French and George Washington who had great ideas and led them to victory

Recap in your own words: The united states and British both sent delegates to Paris to sign a treaty . Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay represented the U.S. The treaty sent the boundary of the u.s - The Mississippi River 

to the west, Canada to the north, and Spanish Florida to the South. It also allowed the Americans to fish of the coast of Canada , allowed merchants to collect debts from Americans , and to return property confiscated from loyalists during the war. British troops were removed from America and back to Britain , and the war was over!

Who won and why: colonists won the war because of the help they received from other countries and they had better leadership.

Recap in your own words: the colonial troops were occupying Bunker hill and that gave them at better chance because it is easier to shoot downhill and they were told to shoot only when they see the white's of their eyes . The colonists killed many soldiers , about half ,but then they retreated because they ran out of ammunition 

Who won and why: technically the British because the colonists ran out of ammunition and retreated , but the colonists called it a win because they had killed many British Soldiers
