Using Padlet requires finding some way to sign in, such as through Microsoft or a Gmail account (I use Gmail), or via the Windows App. Once there, you can select a format--I chose "Canvas" because it gives me the most flexibility in moving and placing my various posts. You can edit whatever Padlet you make through through settings to change its style and background. You can edit Padlets as a group in the brainstorming board, as well.

You can connect posts to each other to align them along similar topics or help them follow intertwined trains of thought, labeling the connections in order to distinguish one trail of information from another. You can also post images, includes screenshots like this one, and click on those images to get a better look at them.

Padlet comes with a wide array of settings and functions that you can use to alter different parts of your projectand otherwise explores what works for you. The "R" stands for Ravenrose (my gmail handle) because I'm using Google. The arrow leads to a "share" function that you can use to show other people your work. The bell is an activity panel, square is an option to copy the project, the play button is a slideshow option, the gear is general settings, and the dots lead to more options for your project that you can explore.

From Krimsynn Tech: pros of Padlet, from the perspective of the teachers who primarily use it in education. Like the note says, Padlet is automatic saved, shareable, and free.

Another pro is that the page on which you create the Padlet will automatically expand as you move pieces up or farther down, giving you theoretically infinite projection space for being projections or planning stages.

From Krimsynn Tech. I mostly agree with this assessment, but you can make a private Padlet if you do it first on your own. Re other cons, I think it can be difficult sometimes to properly adjust the size of your posts--right now I can also adjust the size of posts horizontally, vertically, but I don't that it's always that way. You also have to be careful about the links you put in posts, which will produce an image of the page you're linking question even if you don't want that. Rather than dropping the full link at once, you should probably put the link in via copy-pasted sections, or attach the link to a word in your post instead.

It might take a little adjustment to get the full experience, but you can produce a simple Padlet very easily and complete a wide variety of educational tasks.
