Create an environmental typography sculpture out of human waste such as things that are destroying our planet. Such as all the waste being thrown into the oceans especially plastic I will focus on the word toxic used in Greta's speech at the U.N climate action summit.

Idea 2 
Create a motion graphic using some of the things Greta mentioned in her speech and projecting it onto the side of a building this might not be possible so would use photoshop and mockups to get a design across. 

Idea 3
Create another sculpture out of milk crates with plastic bottles in them. The idea is to fill multiple milk crates on top of each other filled with the same coloured caps sideways so you can see the message some milk caps will have caps some won't so you can see the type. I got this idea from dot matrix type.

So I started with making the 3d text of toxic. I then continued by using a plastic water bottle and placing it all over the type. After doing this I then changed seed effect to create more bottles over the type. This photo was taken in china from a project Edward did on environmental issues in China. He talks about mass consumerism and the degradation of our planet, how fast consumerism is destroying our planet. I really admire Edwards work how he brings education and knowledge through his work, going to various countries and documententing through his photography. David Buckland took part in a film called burning ice where he 'He stresses the urgency of a cultural response to climate change'. Pedro is a Brazilian based artist who works with typography. He likes to collect loads of different materials he finds and create type with them. He gets a lot of his ideas from dreams, memories and thoughts. 
I think I will get a lot of inspiration from pedros work and really ties in well with the ideas I have for this project. The part where she says 'people are dying and entire ecosystem are failing' made me think of the ocean which is filled with plastic and killing/wiping out massive ecosystems. 'Toxic air pollution' also stood out to me as we are pumping the air with so much harmful chemicals and carbon dioxide its not only harming the planet it's killing us as well.

I also researched another artist called Pedro Inoue who creates type out of recycled plastics this is where I got some inspiration to make a sculpture out of old plastic bottles. I also created moodboards to gain some inspiration and brain stormed a few ideas listening to Greta thunbergs Climate change speech. I also found that writing down ideas in notebook and going back to them re reading the editing them helps to develops ideas.

I have a tested a various amount of ideas and responses. I have used rough sketches to draft up ideas and scanned them in and overlaid them in photoshop and other softwares for reference points. One of the main learning curves I have had during this project was learning a new software called Blender3D this was very hard software to use but after watching a few tutorial videos and reading forums, I started to understand it but only just a little. I have used mockups and made loads of different edits, testing lighting backdrops and scenes for both ideas.

I created two final outcomes. I believe that the water bottle sculpture was my most successful and favourite design out of the two. I put more hours of work into the water bottle sculpture and think it payed of. Even though there were a few things that went wrong while creating the sculpture for example blender crashing and also learning the new software. I think my second idea wasn't very strong and lacked direction this really didn't help while trying to progress the project and lacked inspiration from myself for this idea (milk crate). 

Overall, I have learned quite a lot from this project and think it has gone well. One of the main thing I have learned was the new software Blender3D even though this was a benefit it also was a bad experience because I spent way to much time trying to learn it, therefore I didn’t spend as much time as I would of liked to on my other ideas and that shows.
