This was to develop our ideas and creativity for our FMP's. Also it was to give us inspiration for our FMP topic and to gather ideas on how to do things such as presenting our projects in the exhibition. I learnt how to present pieces of work by learning that it is important to catch peoples attention by using colour and boldness. By doing this it allowed me to have more of an idea of what I would be creating as I had to write about three possible ideas for my FMP. This is because it made me realise what I could do within the parameters and requirements such as needing a certain target audience. I then chose my target audience to be the local community as I thought this audience would be most suitable for a magazine about London. I now know a lot more about what I am going to be developing for my FMP as I put all my ideas in one place. I did not apply any new skills today a I have created mind maps previously. The only barrier I came across was thinking of three different ideas, however I overcame this by thinking of quite similar ideas all revolving around photography. I presented this mind map on a keynote page so it was landscape therefore I could fit more on the page. I don't think there are any improvements I need to make so far. This involved me talking about my idea for the FMP to Dave. I had to talk about the concept of my project along with what reason I had choosing my idea. Also I had to discuss my aim and who my magazine is targeted too. Lastly I had to explain how my project related to the theme 'My England'. I did not learn anything new. I had one barrier which was nerves of presenting my pitch however I think that it went quite well as Dave liked my idea. I do not need to improve anything and I did not learn anything. I plan to apply my ideas and feedback from the pitch in further lessons to develop my magazine. 

After my pitch I started researching unusual places to visit in London, I looked at different websites to get ideas and write out the places which looked the most interesting. The benefit of this trip was to see the production of the films to inspire and help our ideas for our FMP's. I gained knowledge of how detailed and magnificent sets of films can be. The trip however did not benefit myself as I am creating a magazine. Although there was a section containing all of the magazines and newspapers created for the films which I did view. I did not apply any skills today or learn anything new. After seeing the studios we had to fill in a research sheet, this sheet was for the research part of our project. While going round the tour we had to take pictures of relevant people within the production to us. I took a picture of the graphic designer as this was the most relevant to my work. I had to talk about the skills and techniques used, also about the production requirements. I have been developing a research profile. This includes looking at existing professional practices such as different magazines and journalists. For the primary research I created a survey on survey monkey asking questions to help me see if my target audience would be interested in my magazine. Then to talking about my target market, which includes researching what already exists and how well they are doing. Lastly I had to talk about my production requirements such as the locations I will be using and equipment. After lunch I converted all the images I took on Thursday from NEF to JPEG on photoshop and also edited them. I did this so I could save the pictures ready for use on my magazine. Towards the end of the day I decided to copy the pages of my magazine from Illustrator to Photoshop so I could turn them into double page spreads so it will look more like a magazine. After doing this I had to save some of my pages as TIFF files to send to Dave so they could be printed for the exhibition. I got some feedback to say that it could be more asthetically pleasing and also that the text was too basic. However I got told that it looked professional. Overall everyone liked it apart from a few criticisms. After this I had to send off the pictures to be printed.
