this video talks about various things I thought would be useful in my songs. Passing chords, chord extensions and picking v's strumming were all ideas that I thought I could start to incorporate.

things like: adding breakdowns into songs and learning to add breaks and stops

. I added the final percussion to the song and moved on to recording the second songs vocal track

I also researched many different ways of recording to add more to the final result

this helped me because I was able to write more interesting songs by adding the things I had seen in my research such as:

• building up the track

• adding double tracked vocals

• and learning various recording techniques like how to add EQ

The resources I used for this were:

• YouTube

• google

• speaking to lecturers for advice

these all were very useful as it gave me a broader understanding of what I had to do

I have also greatly improved my skills within logic and recording by learning hoot double track and learning how to mix the tracks in to a better sounding project

• rewriting parts of songs

• adapting to the midi drums logic

• and rerecording parts and tracks that did quite work

I love songwriting and its a passion for me but to see that my songs have improved as the project moved forward is a proud accomplishment for me
