Kiia Saturi ja Anne-Mari Anttila osallistuivat Martsarin lukion edustajina Nordplus Junior Baltic Sea -hankkeen aloitustapaamiseen Tukholmassa 11.-15.11.2024. Kaksivuotisessa hankkeessa on mukana useita lukioita kuudesta eri maasta. Hankkeen yhteisenä kielenä on englanti, mutta aina on mahdollista päästä kommunikoimaan myös kohdemaan kielellä tai ainakin tutustua siihen. Hankkeeseen osallistuu kouluja Suomesta, Eestistä, Liettuasta, Latviasta, Tanskasta ja Ruotsissa. Tällä viikolla osallistumme hankekokoukseen Tukholmassa. Isännöivä koulu on Betty Pettersonin lukio, joka on nimetty Ruotsin ensimmäisen naispuolisen ylioppilaan mukaan.


Tänään koululla järjestettiin useita ympäristöaiheisia työpajoja ja kaupungin edustaja kertoi Tukholman ympäristöohjelmasta. Kävimme myös tutustumassa Liljeholmissa maanalaisen parkkihallin vieressä sijaitsevaan kasvihuoneeseen.

Our student Berrin and teacher Eeva-Maria had a good time there. On the first day (which was basically meant to be a travel day) we had our own program and visited the Museum of Technology. The following days we went together with all the others. We met at Betty Petterssons Gymnasium and learnt about the Swedish educational system and sustainable development. We also had an impressive visit to a greenhouse in a garage under a building. It is interesting to learn about different ways to make a city green. We also spent some time in the old city of Stockholm. It is interesting for us Finns as we don't really have such old towns in our country. Skansen and the Vasa Ship were also on the list of the places visited. It was also nice to see how the students coped with each other and how good my travel company was in navigating around in a city which she hardly knew beforehand. On the trips the teachers always see such viewpoints of the students that are not visible in ordinary classes.
