         <description><![CDATA[<p>GPS started in 1957 when the first satellite, Sputnik 1, was launched. In the 1960s, the U.S. Navy created TRANSIT, an early satellite navigation system. Later, in 1973, the U.S. began the GPS project, and in 1978 the first GPS satellite went to space. By 1995, GPS was fully working with 24 satellites. In 2000, it became more accurate for everyone, and in the 2000s, GPS was added to cell phones. Today, GPS is used all over the world with very high precision.</p>]]></description>

In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell officially patented the telephone and made the first call. That same year, he founded the Bell Telephone Company, which drove its expansion in the 1880s. Later, in 1915, the first transcontinental call was made in the U.S., and in 1927 the first transatlantic call. A major breakthrough came in 1973, when Martin Cooper (Motorola) made the first call from a mobile phone, which reached the market in 1983 with the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X. Finally, in 2007, Steve Jobs (Apple) revolutionized communication with the launch of the iPhone, marking the beginning of the smartphone era</p><p>.</p>]]></description>
