He born in 13 October 1982. He's an Austrilian. In 1988 he get the tittle of 400 m freestyle. It's known that he has got five gold , 3 silver and 2 bronze olympic medals in organizations in Sidnei on 2000 and in Athens on 2004. Also he has got 11 gold medals in the world championship. At the 2001 World Aquaticks Championships , he became the first person to win six gold medals in one World Championship. Thorpe was the first person to have been named Swimming World Swimmer of the Year four times and was the Auastralian Swimmer of the Year from 1999 to 2003.
