Title of Story: The move

 Romona misses her friends a little, but she doesn’t care that she moved and she is a little bummed her parents are split up. But even though the people in her school are nice to her, she still does not have any friends and that makes her annoyed because in Spain she had the best friend group in the whole school.

 Before long Romona started going up to people asking if they wanted to be her friend, but no one wanted to be her friend. This is so weird she thought to herself with a tilted head, “maybe it is the way I am presenting  it, let me try saying it in a different way”. Despite her previous bad luck, she tried again even though she was biting her lip and twirling her hair she managed to push out the words, “Will you be my friend?” But still no one wanted to be her friend. This was so weird. “Does anyone in this school even have friends?” She said to herself while brushing her hair softly at her locker.

At this point she tried talking to her mom about it, but all her mom remarked was “don’t worry just give it time I promise everything will fall into place” she said surely.  Her Mom's voice was so comforting that it was like laying on her favorite pillow.   On the other hand she felt a little better because her mom was trying to help.  But even still she was uneasy that she would never get friends at her new school. 

One day there was another new kid at school named Lola and lucky for Romona she was also desperate for friends. When the teacher introduced her she said that if any one wants new friends to ask her because she had no friends. So one day Romona asked her if she wanted to be friends with her and she said ”yes finally someone who wants to be friends like do people even have friends at this school” Lola stated. “I know right,” Romona added. 

After they met each other they had their first playdate. It went really great. Lola went over to Ramona's house and they watched some TV and played some board games. Ramada even shared the sad news that her parents split up. Then it was time for Lola to go home. They hugged goodbye and Lola was gone in her car headed to her house. Although Romona was sad she left,  she was still happy to have someone to talk to about her parents divorce. On the other hand, Romona's mom was super happy for her and that she finally got a friend. 

Finally having a friend was like a ray of sunshine, Romona thought to herself. They became best friends and did everything together. They even went to sleepaway summer dance camp together. They were so happy together. Romona even said that before they met they were like two little hamsters running around the school asking people in the school if they wanted to be friends with them.

One day Lola moved to Canada because her dad got a really great job offer, but if he wanted it Lola’s family would have to move to Canada. Lola hoped that her dad would not take the job offer but unfortunately he did.  That broke Ramona's heart. She was back at school with no friends and she was devastated. After a few minutes her mom came into her room and tried to comfort her. This made Romona feel a little better. Then her mom told her very exciting news, that her parents were getting back together she said proudly! Romona was so happy it was almost like she forgot about Lola, then her mom added that the wedding was tomorrow. Romona replied”great” sarcastically.

The next day Romona woke up ready for the wedding. She got ready for the wedding and the next thing you know her parents were back together. Everyone was so happy for them and they were happy to see what the future holds upon them.
