Many people are impacted by online scams everyday. A lot of teenagers often don't realise when they are being tricked into a scam. To protect yourself from these scams you can pay close attention to emails and texts you receive from a websight. If a platform isn't reliable, or keeps trying to influence you to do things you don't want to do, delete it. You may be someone who is easily influenced, or just ignores the red flags on a platform, but looking out for them can save you for the future.

Nagging is when a desired task continues to be interrupted repeatedly. The platform is trying to get you to quit focusing on what you want to do, and instead do what they are throwing at you in their pop-ups. A common example is the "Please turn on notifications" pop up on Instagram (you can only click "Not know" or "Ok". You are not given the option to say no.

Avoid Nagging:

Delete an app or platform that you feel is unsafe because of how much nagging you've experienced

Don't let the pop-ups influence your decisions and stick to what you wanted to do in the first place
