First I have to say that this subject is completely new to me. I am learning a lot of interesting information on this topic along this course and I´m doing resourch online everyday, to become familiar with the STEM jobs and about what we are supposed to make our students aware of STEM future.
I already know that since March 2016 Instituto Superior Técnico University (IST) in Lisbon promoted various outreach events but I don´t live in mainland, and is very expensive for me to go there.
The STEM jobs in Portugal, until 2025, are expected a growth around 32%, while for the whole economy the projected growth in employment is only 2.2%. There are 111,000 job opportunities in these professions by 2025, 34.5% of which are in industry. You can see all the study in “New Labor Markets 2020”

I think we have to distinguish between STEM jobs and STEM careers. We have been previously told that in 10 years there will be a huge amount of new STEM jobs that we can't even imagine now.
Perhaps it will be more important to show our students what all of these jobs have in common (digital skills, critical thinking, curiosity, cooperation, communication abilities ...), instead of talking about specific jobs that perhaps in few years will disappear.
We can use them as examples, just to "personalize" them, but not as static references.
