Tusenfryd is the biggest amusement park in Norway  in Vinterbro, located 20 kilometers south of Oslo. The price ranges from $329.00 to $399.00 and it is free admission for children. There are over 30 fun attractions, special rides, activities for kids, etc so the attraction is suitable for people of all ages.

2. The Viking Ship Museum
The museum is most famous for the completely whole Oseberg ship that was carefully removed from the largest ship burial in the world. Other main attraction in the Viking Ship Museum include the Gokstad and Tune ship and the admission fee is $12.89. 

3.Fram Museum- The Polar Ship Fram
The museum tells a story of the Norwegian polar exploration located on the peninsula of Bygdoy in Oslo, Norway. The price ranges from $80.80. At the Fram Museum you get to see how the crew managed to survive in the Arctic and Antarctic. In order to allow tourists to understand the exhibition, it is translated into ten languages namely English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Norwegian.

4. Royal Palace
The Royal Palace is open to the public during summer and visitors must follow a guided tour which lasts for approximately one hour. The price ranges from $64- $412 (SGD) and the guided tour takes visitors through some of the most beautiful state rooms in the Royal Palace: Cabinet Cloakroom, Cabinet Parlour, Council Chamber, White Parlour, King Haakon VII Suite, Upper Vestibule, Bird Room, Mirror Hall, Family Dining Room, Small Ceremonial Hall, Great Hall and the Banqueting Hall. 

5. Botanical Garden
For visitors that are looking for a wallet friendly attraction to visit, the Botanical Garden is the location for you as it is free admission. It is located in the Natural History Museum at the University of Oslo. It is Norway’s most comprehensive natural history collection and also for almost 200 years, preserved plant specimens, animal specimens, rocks, etc have been collected, studied and preserved. There is also a variety of specimens are on display for visitors.

I strongly suggest Couchsurfing if meeting new folks is your cup of tea. But you are also able to pitch a tent or hike anywhere you’d like
- Dress warm (even in summer), be in good shape if you prepare to hike, and be sure you have adequate funds for your trip. Nothing is cheap here. For the most part, traveling here is extremely safe. But beware of pickpocketers in Oslo. 
- There are no cheap times of course. I suggest travelers to come in the summer where the endless hours of daylight will give you a lot of time to explore the country. The weather is milder and the locals are in a much happier state of mind. The winters here are dreary, cold, and long. But the winter is the best time to see the northern light and ski. 
- This depends on where you’re traveling, but I would suggest a nice pair of hiking boots (waterproof as it is super muddy and rainy in western Norway), an umbrella or rain jacket, and max out your duty-free alcohol quota at the airport. That will be the cheapest alcohol you’ll see in the great country of Norway! 
- Don’t be offended when no one says ‘thank you’, ‘you’re welcome’, ‘please’, or ‘excuse me’ back to you. I took offense to this at first and after living here for over a year and a half, I have to just chalk it up to cultural differences.

Oslo, the Norwegian city is a rich blend of the country’s Scandinavian roots and its contemporary values. The country had seen a firm romantic nationalistic movement in the fourteenth century which has left a lasting effect on the nation’s art and culture. The city is filled with museums which glorify its enriching past, while the exhibitions, art galleries, theatres depict the present artists and their works.
However, if you want to know about the real Norwegian culture you must get acquainted with the festivals that the people in Oslo celebrate. The city holds a variety of live music and entertainment festivals like the Oslo Jazz Festival, International Church Music Festival, Chamber Music Festival, etc. where you can enjoy your hearts out.
