These were considered targeted killings. The Gaza strip has Palestinian armed factions led by the Islamic Jihad and the popular resistance committees. They fired a massive amount of rockets twords southern Israel in retaliation, sparking five days of clashes along the Gaza border.

Also the Iranians have a nuclear program that if enough centrifuges could be spun to make enough nuclear weapons that they would try to remove Israel from the face of the map. Threats of long range missals have been declared to be used to rid the world of Israel and all non Muslim religious countries. Anti Semitism is clear with all Arab nations which is a constant danger to all Israeli people. Monotheistic means the belief in just one God. Interestingly, Judaism out of all the religions there are, is just one of three that are monotheistic. The Torah is the Jewish bible which later other religious books were written called Talmud and Midrash.
