We used Canva in order to plan our filming and create our designs for our logos. We used Canva to showcase our overall intended vibe and visuals for our shoot. Canva has been a major part of our project as we are able to draw, upload PNGs with diverse font options in order to find the layouts we need for our logos, our filming etc. The font used in our production chosen in order to fit our logo made from Canva. We were also able to make schedules in further planning for filming dates so that my team can pick filming dates with no external interruptions. It has been our go-to-tool for all sorts of preparation prior to the shoot.

We used Pinterest to find reference pictures to create the intended atmosphere in our project. We used Pinterest pictures to create our mood board and also for the different covers for our presentation to make everything look better, also using Pinterest to find nice layouts and canvases for our Canva presentations. I used Pinterest pictures of different aesthetics of graphics to morphe into the logo we have right now and Pinterest has played a major part of inspiration and source of research in our visuals.

Sketchbook

We used the Sketchbook App to try out different ideas we had pictured for our logo, to do small sketches of the layer photos to see if we can come up with something better or if we have to change our ideas with the logo. Designing the logo was one of the hardest parts of production for me as I had struggled to think of ideas to be eye catching and be modern as we are a new production label as well. I tried to find as many inspiration as I can using Pinterest and then hand drawing with overlays of different pictures I can find so I can create something fresh and more individualised.

FUJIFILM XS10

The FUJIFILM XS10 was the camera of our choice to film our entire opening scene. Using the 35mm lens with a 1.4 Aputure for shallow depth of view. Most footage in our film are shot in a shallow depth of view therefore this was the ideal equipment to use.

I took my inspiration of the setting of the film from this murder case from a true crime podcast that I have watched for a really long time and I found this case of Jeong Yoo-Jung that I found really interesting. When I watched it again during planning I realised that this case be used as inspiration as it wouldn’t be overly difficult to create and it fits into social contexts of social withdrawal and other psychological problems.

Amaran 200X Aputure Lights

We used 2 of these Aputure Lights for our filming, however our scenes were too bright so we ended up using only one per location. We used the lights at 1% at 7000k with a cover on top so we can dim the lights out.

Saramonic Boom Mic with Boom Pole

We used the Saramonic Boom Mic to record sound effects used in our footage, which then we were able to convert the audio into Adobe to edit our video.

I used ISoftBox in one of the scene consisting our other character looking at the laptop so we can have a clearer view to record any facial expressions and also not to have our character blend in with the dark lighting.

We used Adobe After Effects to generate the floating text bubble for this scene and exported it back to Adobe Premier Pro

We used Adobe Premier Pro to edit our opening film as it is one fo the more advanced programmes we can use compared to others such as IMovie. It allows us to be more precise with details such as colour grading and sound.

I used Google Sites to create this fake tutoring website; which becomes one of our main props in our opening as our antagonist used this tool to plan her murder. With the consent given, we were able to use our friends' pictures to make the website look more realistic

Capcut

I used Capcut to edit my Behind-The-Scenes vlog as it is a simple and efficient software to edit videos. Furthermore, since my approach to behind-the-scenes is more vlog and youtube like, Adobe Premier Pro wouldn't be neccessary.
