A few weeks ago I went to Bodrum Under Water Museum(Bodrum Castle)with my family.There I saw this amazing ship wreck with thousands of glass objects so it is called the glass wreck.It is a thousands years old!And it is from Bozburun-Marmaris! ! ! It teaches us important things about the past.

On the evening of January 16, 2001, Jessica ran aground in Wreck Bay at the entrance to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno harbor. Before the ship ran aground, it was carrying 600 tons (160,000 gallons) of diesel and 300 tons (80,000 gallons) of fuel oil that began to spill. The leaking diesel incident was one of the worst environmental disasters in the archipelago's history.

Located off Cyprus, this well-preserved BC. The Greek merchant ship of the 4th century, ie 2300 years old, provided important information about classical Greek boats, which are also seen in paintings and ceramics. Research shows that the ship, which left Rhodes with four crew, was BC. In 306, it was revealed that it sank in a pirate attack. Eight iron spearheads were left in the hull of the ship from this attack. Thus, the Kyrenia shipwreck provided one of the first physical evidence of pirates. An experimental archeology replica of the ship, whose hull is on display in the museum after conservation, was floated in 1985.

Where's the Waratah?

Hello my dear friends and teacher, I would like to share with you the story of this shipwreck, which I was a little scared when I found out and which has been very mysterious for a long time.
Note: STILL NO WRECK OF THE SHIP FOUND!
There are shipwrecks that have been discovered but not identified, and then there are shipwrecks that definitely happened, but have never been found. The Waratah is one of the latter. This steamship vanished in 1909 while headed from Durban, Australia to Cape Town, South Africa, along with 211 passengers and crew.

No one has ever found a trace of the ship. A passenger who disembarked before the Waratah left Durban wrote in a letter that he thought he ship was top-heavy. Bad weather and rough seas certainly plagued the night she disappeared. Searches were launched immediately after the Waratah failed to show up in port, and there were reports of bodies and debris found scattered about various southern hemisphere coastlines in the following years.

Shipwrecks in some freshwater lakes, such as the Great Lakes of North America, have remained intact with little degradation. In some sea areas, most notably in Gulf of Bothnia and Gulf of Finland, salinity is very low, and centuries-old wrecks have been anpreserved in reasonable condition, and the Titanic is one of them the captain said "God can't sink this ship" and then 1 hour later the boat sank.
