1. The Theme focuses about football but there has been a lot of Racism going on as well which has been said in all 4 chapters so far. Jim Thorpe is in the Carlisle Indian School and has amazed his Coach Pop during Track practice which led him into playing American Football.

2. The main social Issue in Undefeated is definitely Racism. The Indians weren't allowed in specific area said by the government which was surreal. The Indians were even violently kicked out of the areas they weren't supposed to go. As seen in Apartheid there was a lot of racism as well.

3. I think they are pretty similar because both of them have something about racism.

1..The main theme of the story has been related to American Football. Jim Thorpe, a runner plays American football in his life for the first time and understands the potential he has. Some social issues based on the book undefeated are racism. America want to move the Indians to another location because of the forgeries coming into America. Jim Thorpe’s mother is Indian. I haven’t read a lot about the impact but I believe that Jim Thorpe and his mother would get separated due to the racism. I believe that if this event occurs. In chapter 3 it talks about racism

2. The Social issue that i picked was once again racism. The Indians are not allowed in certain parts of America and if they were in those area's they were violently kicked out or even killed. This is also related to the apatheid in except the apartheid goes against black africans while this goes against Indians.

3. i read both of the passages and i find them both simillar talking about the racism againg the indians in certain parts. While sometimes its diffrent. Forexample in some story parts of the books, the book only talks about football. Overall they are both simillar.

-Faruk Ozak
