In one of his collages called "Pain Thing" the artists shows portrays himself in agony, it contains three heads, and three oesophagi lead down into a burning red stomach. He started out with drawing and painting before starting collage and assemblage artwork full-time in the early 2000s. Lance admired the idea of collages as "they were quick" and because he "could work through ideas quickly." He often finds materials in dumpsters, old books, and other discarded things. She was very well known for her use of silk screen, a technique seen being used by many other artists part of the pop-art movement such as Andy Warhol. In the early 1970s Sister Kent was diagnosed with a form of cancer. She sadly passed away in September of 1986.
