Based in Austin, Texas, Letscher is an amazing collage artist who's journey didn’t start off with the art of collages. He started out with drawing and painting before starting collage and assemblage artwork full-time in the early 2000s. Lance admired the idea of collages as "they were quick" and because he "could work through ideas quickly." He often finds materials in dumpsters, old books, and other discarded things. Letscher is usually most attracted t things that people throw away and are no longer wanted, things that cary signs of wear & tear.
