Today, I will write a report on some specific issues related to working conditions and propose solutions. We often see many problems around us, but the most common problem is that workers lose concentration during working hours.

That problem often occurs every day. The reason is that workers have to work continuously for many hours, the workload is repeated many times.

To improve concentration, we should discuss this issue with management and propose some possible solutions to help workers have higher working spirit.

I think our factory should provide music to help workers feel relaxed and keep them alert to improve productivity. In addition, companies should also arrange short breaks during each training session, during which workers can rest or exercise.

I hope the above suggestions can be implemented and work productivity will be higher.

I’m a designer of MCB company. I have received the actual sample garment and see that there are one differences between the spec sheet sketch and the actual sample. The overall sample looks good. However, there are still some details that do not match the spec sheet requirements.

Firstly, the actual sample does not have the white letters on black label attached 1” below collar stand.

Secondly, the spec sheet requires that the neck width from highest point of the shoulder (HPS) to another HPS is 5 5/8” but in actual sample it is 8”. You need to take it in 2 2/3’’.  In the spec sheet, the pocket is on the left of garment with 6’’depth and 4’’width instead of on the right.

Thirdly, the armhole-straight as required in the spec sheet is 8 3/8’’ long but in the actual sample, the length is 8’’. You need let it out 3/8''. In the spec sheet, the cuff opening is 4’’ instead of 6’’, so you need to let the cuff opening of the sample in 2’’

Next, the waist in the spec sheet is 15 1/2'' but it's actually 24’’ as I have measured on the sample, you need to take it in 8 1/2''.

Finally, the bottom opening in the spec sheet is 17'' but it's actually measured 25”, you need to take it in 8''.

I have given some comments on the prototype of the shirt and also some suggestions to revise it. I hope that you will soonly revise the sample and give us back on next day.

Today, I would like to present a report on Vietnam's garment industry in recent years.

The number of enterprises producing textiles in Vietnam is 6000 firms.

The textiles and apparel sector have a share of 10 % of the country’s manufacturing production and 11.5% of the country’s total exports (2016). In general, this sector contributes 5% to Vietnam’s GDP.

This sector attracts a large number of employees which are about 2.5 million people.

The advantages are the environmental advantages, the stable political environment and the availability of quality labour force.

The key challenges are highly dependence on imports for machinery equipment, raw materials, and accessories.

From 2016 to 2020 there will be the rise of 12-14% in production capacity and 15% in export potential.

My name is Quynh, I am currently studying at Hanoi University of Industry, and my major is garment technology and fashion design.

The fashion industry is an extremely developing industry. To study, I am also gradually trying to prepare myself for future work. Firstly, we need to have good sewing skills, design skills, and understanding of machines and materials. In addition, we need to be proficient in using design software such as Lectra, Opitex, Gerber, AI,... And to work effectively, we need good communication skills. And preparing yourself for new languages will be very helpful for your work.

And my personal strength is being proficient in using design software and understanding product design knowledge.

My biggest strength is that my English is still weak, but I still constantly learn to improve and better understand the documents.
