         <description><![CDATA[<div>5th graders partnered with students in Maker Spaces from Tampa (Literacy Leadership Technology Academy) and Miami (Gulliver Schools) for a Tri-State Live Maker Challege. The specific challenge of building a propellor driven car was&nbsp; revealed on camera LIVE!&nbsp; Other classes and our parents community, tuned in to follow this event streamed on YouTube. An awesome learning experience for these students as we connected with other Makers from around Florida to grow our thinking and learning!&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Learning Space Redesign Unit</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How can students design an optimal learning space that facilitates design thinking projects and supports the development of their 21st Century Skills? 5th Grade Students planned, produced, and presented an architectural design concept for the redesign of the Maker Space for the benefit of their own learning and future learning experiences of Park Maitland students! They shared their designs with builders and architects of the space! They even built the space on SketchUp to showcase it in VR.
