Ammonia can be poisonous if touched, inhaled, or enters the body in large amounts. when it enters the body it reacts to the bodies liquid and destroys molecules inside the body because when it mixes with water it becomes Ammonium hydroxide which is very dangerous. Ammonia is usually found in cleaners and has very low levels in the human body but when they are raised it can become dangerously poisonous. This affects the human body by causing chemical burns, wheezing, fever, swelling, vomiting, etc.. toxicologist look for high level of ammonia and see how it entered the body.
