Ammonia is usually found in cleaners and has very low levels in the human body but when they are raised it can become dangerously poisonous. This affects the human body by causing chemical burns, wheezing, fever, swelling, vomiting, etc.. toxicologist look for high level of ammonia and see how it entered the body.
