In Scene 1 we can see different aspects that can be taken into consideration in a christian worldview, but I want to focus on Egeus and Hermia:

Deuteronomy 5:16,“‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you."(NIV,1978,Deu. 5:16)

In the Bible, we are commanded to honor and obey our parents commandements since they are in a position of authority and were sent by God to be our guardians here on earth. Many times our parents make decisions that they think are the best for us(just to protect us), but we may not agree with what they decide. We have to pray to god to guide us during those moments and give us wisdom on how to act, always trying to be respectful and honorable

New International Version. (1978).

The bible integration for this act is:

James 3:14

"But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth"(NIV,1978, James 3:14)

In Scene one we can see how Oberon's ambition and jealousy leads him to make a plan to sabotage his wife. He is following the evil thoughts in his heart all beacuse of jealousy and selfishness, this is leading him to act in a dispicable manner.

We are taught not to act with jealousy or selfishness since it will bring consequences and make our hearts weary. Jealousy is something that should not be meddled with, since it can damage our relationships with those around us and take an emotional toll on ourselves. Oberon is commiting and act that he will sooner or later regret in that same way when whe act with a jealous mindset, we tend to do things we will regret later on.

New International Version.

Till now this act is so intriguing, like what do you mean Lysander falls in love with Helena. THAT IS SUCH A HUGE PLOT TWIST

Helena makes me feel bad for her, she seems that she has such a low self-steam and compares herself alot with Hermia. Probably balming Hermia for taking away anything she loved or cares for.

The fact that now Lysander falls in love with Helena can be an easy way for Demetrius and Helena to marryl, if the prospect she wanted to marry is not in the market anymore there is no need for her to escape.

The serpent on Hermia's body could mean a betrayal from somebody close, maybe from Helena. In Hermia's point of view she probably didnt think she took anything away from Helena, but in Helena'smpoint of view, everything was given to Hermia.

This could lead to Helena actually taking an interest in Lysander just to dispise Hermia by taking the one thing she truly loved.

Scene two is my favorite scene out of all acts and scenes in this book. The drama, the chaos everything falls perfectly together

In this scene we can now see how Robin's mistake turned into everyone's problem(putting the liquid in Lysander's eyes).

Not only did he put it on Lysander but then on Demetrius, and the love discord began.

Both men started arguing over Helena, throwing shade at each other, and almost fighting a duel(WELL THAT ESCALATED REAL QUICK).

Hermia sees how everything is unraveling and tries to make sense of the situation. She calls out for Lysander and asks him why he is doing that if he told her he loved her. He denies everything and says that his only love is Helena.

Hermia keeps on pushing and pushing trying to get a different answer, one the old Lysander would've used. It was to no use because the more commented the angrier he got, and started calling her names like serpent and Ethiop(Act 3, Scene 2)

In a fit of rage, Hermia accuses Helena of being a man stealer, and how she could do something like that. Helena was not going to allow her to talk like that, telling her all sorts of things of how she's smaller than her and how she doesn't deserve what she had.

Because of Hermia's impulse of going to attack Helena, Helena orders the two men to protect her, who gladly do so, threatening to almost kill her.(This girl played her cards wisely)

Helena leaves and the two men also leave, leaving Hermia behind.

Oberon, after seeing all the madness that happened, decides to turn EVERYTHING back to how it was. He looks for the rediming flower and gives it to Robin to sort things out.

Robin does this trick where he separates both men by saying the most horrible things about each other in opposite directions.

Afterwards they both go to sleep but he only puts the redeeming juice in Lysander's eyes.(Wasn't it for both of them?)

Shakespeare, W.

So far this has been my FAVORITE act. The drama, chaos everything just falls perfectly

I couldn't belive it when I saw that Lysander said all those horrible things to Hermia(I know you are under a spell but Jesus)

Helena's and Hermia's catfight was shocking but not unexpected, I saw it coming(sort off). It was just wild to me how they were coming up with the combacks, and most distasteful acts. To believe that love of men came in between them and they decided to take out their darkest deepest thoughts out on eachother

I really thought Demitrius would go on ahead and reach out for Hermia, but my girl was pretty sure that he killed her man. Afterwards, Demitrius is just all head over heals over Helena(I bet Hermia was like:What is going on?)

I belive that Hermia although she didn't like Demitrius, she probably liked his attention but not as much to like his advances.

To me it was so funny the interaction Between Bottom and all the fairies. The fairies speak in one word at a time as if they are limited to that.

Titania falling for Bottom was so unexpected for me, like I get his head turned into a donkey, BUT I WASNT EXPECTING THAT TO BE THE BEAST TITANIA WOULD FALL IN LOVE WITH!

Im so satisfied that now Oberon wants to undo the spell(my guy you made this whole chaos unravel like 🤨)

Im just so curious about why the chapter ends with the rediming juice only Lysander but not on Demetrius.

Biblical Integration

This Act's bible integration is for Scene 2:

Proverbs 15:1-2

"A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.

2 The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge,
but the mouth of the fool gushes folly."

The purpose of this Bible integration is a command to speak with kind and sweet words. As we can see in Scene 2, the harsh words towards each other were the fuel to the fire.If Lysander didn't say all those things to Hermia she wouldn't have said those horrible things to Helena and so on.

As Christians, we should be an example to others, and every word we say should be of blessing, not to tear other people down. Let's bring others up with encouragement, not kicking them down with harsh words.

New International Version. (1978). I thought there was going to be drama within the development of the act. I felt like it was rushed and not that of a satisfying way on how to end an act.

How will the actors play off their characters?

They actually played them in a hilarious way, for the spectators it was quite laughable to look at. It seemed that the crowd enjoyed it though but they made their comments here and there.

How does Bottom play off his parts after the spell, does it change anything in his acting or persona?

BOTTOM IS SO RANDOM. What do you mean that you are playing off a character and when somebody makes a comment about it you break out of it? Like Bottom I expected you to be a little off character or taken aback because of the spell, but he was rather more determined into doing the play.

PICTURE REFERENCES:

Press Release. God's plans are perfect and we have to try not to meddle with them. In the end, everything ended peacefully, but at what cost? there were alot of things that happened before the calm. We have to let our plans rely on the lord, trust on His divine plans and rest in Him.

New International Version. (1978).

For starters I would act as a confrontation between Lysander and Hermia after Lysander is released from the spell. In this confrontation Hermia calls Lysander out for all the things he said(that he didn't even know off).

Demetrius is released from his spell, and after seeing the drama between Lysander and Hermia he runs to "help" her out, while in reality he wants to convince her to marry him.

During that whole thing Helena feels guilty for all the things she said during their brawl, only to realise it was all a spell.

After Theseus arrives in the woods, Demetrius tries to convince him of his love for Hermia and the blessing for their marriage, but Lysander intervenes and does a whole love devotion for Hermia. He convinces her and afterwards after seeing Helena and her devotion towards him, Demetrius agrees to give her a try and get to know each other, apologizing for his attitude towards her.

The play continues as it is, with the play by Bottom and his crew, but the only twist is the ending. The Dream.

The play actually was a dream, it was Helena's dream, but more like a nightmare. When she wakes up, it is Demetrius and Hermia's wedding, Lysander and Hermia failed to escape, and Lysander is in the dungeon, soon to be executed by Demetrius for intervening with his love.
