I grew up with a physically, emotionally, and verbally abusive parent that attempted to take my life at 3 years old. My other parent was unable to end their cycle of abuse and continued living through it as a married person. My parent was unable to see a way out that was beneficial and so we stayed. I have CPTSD and an eating disorder because of my childhood but I will be a cycle breaker and I will not allow my children to live in fear (including students)

It inspires me every day to empower my students to take charge of their life and break their cycles. I hope that I positively impact their lives so they can positively impact others. I do this through love. Too many individuals do not have the knowledge to truly understand the situations at hand and are so close-minded in their comfort zones. You must reflect and uncover your microaggressions that hinder growth and understanding.
