Literature Review: Works consulted to further understand the research topic, completed before the data collection stage.
 
Theory: a carefully thought-out explanation for observations of the natural world that has been constructed using the scientific method, and which brings together many facts and hypotheses.1

Participants: people who are conducted in the research and their data could be used as research material/reference
 
Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring information on variables of interest, in an established systematic fashion that enables one to answer stated research questions, test hypotheses, and evaluate outcomes.

Data analysis: A process used by researchers for reducing data to a story and interpreting it to derive insights. The data analysis process helps in reducing a large chunk of data into smaller fragments, which makes sense

Basic research ex:
A study looking at how caffeine consumption impacts the brain.
A study looking to see if gender stereotypes lead to depression

Applied research ex: 
A study to find ways to make car tires last longer.
A study searching for the causative factors of cancer.

Research questions are specific statements that govern what the researcher achieves to know or seek to investigate.
Literature reviews are revisions of pieces of existing valid research in order to better understand and comprehend your own
Theory is an explanation of observations that have been backed up by facts and scientific methods.
Participants are people involved in specific research or experiment.
Data collection is a procedure of collecting, measuring and analysing accurate insights for research using standard techniques.

  • Research question: a question that a research project sets out to answer
  • A literature review is a piece of academic writing demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the academic literature on a specific topic placed in context. A literature review also includes a critical evaluation of the material; this is why it is called a literature review rather than a literature report.
  • The theory is a viewpoint or perspective which is explanatory.
  • Questionnaires, interviews, experiments, personal health records, narratives, focus groups, and direct observation are just some of the ways that participants give data to study. Individuals or organisations that agree to participate in a research study are typically referred to as participants.
  • Data collection is the act of acquiring and evaluating the information on variables of interest in a systematic manner that allows researchers to answer research questions, test hypotheses, and assess outcomes. 
  •  Data analysis is the process of evaluating and synthesising obtained data using statistical and logical tools. It enables researchers to glean useful information from a large amount of unstructured data.
  • It is that type of writing where the writer is expected to produce a paper in response to a question or a topic based on the content the writer would have learnt in an academic setting like a college or a university.
  • An example of a basic research question could be what is the scope, nature, and origin of human knowledge? Is it possible for human to acquire knowledge about anything? If yes, then how do humans go about doing so?
  • Applied research could be how to build a rocket that could be successfully launched and reused afterwards?

It resides at the core of systematic investigation and it helps you to clearly define a path for the research process.

    Participants are individuals or groups who agree to take part in a research process. They contribute data to research in a number of ways, such as through questionnaires, interviews, experiments, personal health records, narratives, focus groups, and direct observation.

    Data collection refers to the collection of relevant data according to the needs of the system itself and the needs of users.

    Data analysis refers to the use of appropriate statistical analysis methods to analyse a large amount of data collected, s and understand and digest them, in order to maximise the development of data functions, play the role of data. Data analysis is the process of detailed study and summarisation of data in order to extract useful information and form conclusions.

Usually out of curiosity, but usually drives technological innovation in applied science.

    Applied research "aims to find solutions to pressing problems facing social or business organizations. It is considered an unsystematic investigation, usually initiated by a company, institution or individual, to solve a specific problem.
    Applied research can be divided into evaluation research, R&D and action research.
