We were down in the garden, digging and giggling as we looked after our tiny sukuma wiki plants. The soil felt cool on our hands, and the baby leaves were so cute and green! My classmate and I made sure they had just enough water to grow strong. It felt like we were taking care of a plant family! This fun moment was also part of our Grade 7 KNEC project — and we’re proud little farmers in training!

With my teacher by my side, I learned how to care for our sukuma wiki in the school garden. She showed me the right way to spray the leaves so they could grow big and healthy. I felt like a real young farmer, proud of what we had planted with our own hands. This garden task was not just fun — it was also part of the Grade 8 KNEC project requirements. Every drop I sprayed helped our plants and helped me learn, too!

Today afternoon, we worked together in the kitchen to cook a tasty fish meal. We helped each other with every step — from cleaning the fish to seasoning it just right, and finally cooking it until it was golden and ready to serve. The smell filled the room and made us feel like real chefs! This cooking adventure was part of our Grade 7 KNEC project requirements, and we were so proud of what we made as a team.
