Miss Strangeworth's feeling the need to let the townsfolk know of the 'evils' throughout the town is her understanding of Justice. In hopes of achieving this Justice, Miss Strangeworth writes letters to the many people in town to squash any evil that she feels resonates within the town. This search as a whole is significant for the work because Miss Strangeworth feels she is in the right for what she is doing, but the many townfolk feels she is not.
