The meaning of the book was mostly about mental health and mental health problems, the reason being it showed how not understanding and not communicating with people that are dealing with these issues can cause a lot of problems. Another meaning is a success because it took over a lot of people, for example, i made people come obsess with trying to become success. This brings me back to my thesis statement because lennie became obsess with having their own home and etc just like candy did. Geroge didn't communicate with them properly and they both candy and lennie try doing things driving them away from their dream. A quote from the book that represents is "In every bit of honest writing in the world, there is a base theme. Try to understand men, if you understand each other you will be kind to each other. KNOWING A MAN WELL NEVER LEADS TO HATE and nearly always leads to love. There are shorter means, many of them. There is writing promoting social change, writing punishing injustice, writing in celebration of heroism, but always that base theme. TRY TO UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER!”

In the article, it says "Violence is never far away in mice and men hardscrabble world". Now i feel like this ties with the theme of misunderstanding because a lot of violence happen because people didn't know what was wrong with lennie. This video explains what happen, how the story ended with vioelce and confusion. Because no one ever thought that geroge would end lennie's life like that. Everyone was shook, the reason that George had to end his life because it had a mental illness that no one understood and was confused when he touched something soft. Now George misunderstood this and just took it like that if he was just a crazy person he needed to take care of.
