         <description><![CDATA[<p>Our Wellbeing Hub is open from 8-8.45am Mon-Fri for Breakfast Club, serving toast, cereal and juice free of charge. During lunchtime the Hub is also opened for pupils to either sit &amp; have lunch and socialise or catch up with any homework. We also use the Hub for wellbeing workshops, counselling sessions and pupil check-in's. This is also the working room of Mrs Costello, Mrs Graham and Mrs Porteous.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Wellbeing is defined as by the Oxford Dictionary as 'the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy.' However, it is important to realise that wellbeing is a much bigger concept than moment-to-moment happiness. While it does include happiness, it also includes other things, such as how satisfied people are with their life as a whole, their sense of purpose, and how in control they feel. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It can be helpful to think of mental wellbeing as a continuum that ranges from feeling happy and content to experiencing chronic and enduring mental health difficulties that can be extremely difficult to manage. How you should respond and support others depends on where you/they are on the continuum.</div><div>It is normal to go through times when we are leaning towards the negative end of this continuum. Our experience of what is happening or has happened in our lives will influence our mental wellbeing. Sometimes, when we experience thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are challenging or distressing, it can be difficult to move back to the positive end of this continuum. There will be lots of factors which influence how you or others cope and show resilience at times like these.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>We trialled GMWP during 21/22 school year to great success.&nbsp;Once the questionnaire has been completed pupils scores are analysed to consider whether further support is required. A meeting will be held with the pupil to discuss results &amp; support any needs the young person has. A further questionnaire is completed at the end of the year to monitor overall wellbeing or track impact from any interventions implemented previously. As of 23-24, we have been using the profile within classrooms to further support not only the wellbeing needs but also the learning needs of pupils. </p>]]></description>

Through the understanding and implementation of the following four key concepts; Resist, Persist, Unite &amp; Repair NVR enables adults to address what can be extremely challenging behaviours. This is one of Gryffe's key relationship approaches that all staff have been trained in to ensure consistency in all classes.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Our Wellbeing Ambassador programme is now in the fifth year and involves senior pupils who volunteer their time to support and enhance the wellbeing of all pupils in Gryffe. The pupils are trained in Mental Health, Child Protection, Anti-Bullying, Listening Skills, Additional Support Needs, Biology of the Teenage Brain, suicide prevention, self-harm. For the first time this year, pupils are also trained in CBT approaches.</p>]]></description>

A Young Carers Worker is there to listen and advocate on behalf of Young Carers. We can also speak to schools and other professionals to help get the best outcome for Young Carers.</p><p> </p><p>The Young Carers service offers opportunities to have fun, learn new things and meet other young people who are going through a similar situation whilst getting a break from their caring role.</p>]]></description>
