In this case I was thinking about my little students but it is really useful with more advanced students as well.

Hi, my name is Claudia Dimilito. I love all the tools introduced in class 1. I usually use Quizlet to introduce or revise vocabulary specially because they can see the image, they can listen to the words and even see the writen word. I designed this activity for my 2nd grade students in a bilingual school. They are learning about the clothes. I thought they could revise the items of clothing with "Dustbins" from "Classtools, net"
The idea is that they can categorise the items according to the seasons. I used block capital letters because some of them don't know lowercase letters. I believe every child can benefit from this activity even those with reading or writing difficulties.
See you soon .

Hi, my name is María Eugenia Colabella. I've been exploring the set of tools. I think that Storynory (free audio stories) as well as Spelling City can prove to be very useful tools in an inclusive classroom. In the case of Storynory sts have visual aids provided by the story pictures, so sts can make predictions about the story and answer pre-listening questions too. After listening to the story, sts can check their predictions and answer T's questions. Listening activities to learn or reinforce vocabulary can also be created with Spelling City. T creates a list of words from the story and chooses from a range of activities which involve spelling, writing, phonics and vocabulary. Thus, sts learn and have fun at the same time.

I think it might be a bit difficult for first graders learning the language as the instructions are in English but if you play in an interactive whiteboard students can benefit a lot. You can produce the sound and the students either put the ducks in the corresponding pond or they take the blocks to build a spaceship according to the letter they are listening.
I also liked Quizlet. I will definitely use it to make my students revise vocabulary. You can upload any image and tag it with the vocabulary item. Then they listen and choose the appropriate one.
I´ll be reading you!
Marce

Hi, I´m Gabriela Andrade and I´ve been browsing the tools you provided. The one that caught my attention was "Teach your Monster". I think this is the most suitable app to work with students of 2nd or 3rd grade because through the funny activity of creating their own monster and playing with it they get to work spelling, writing , reading and listening at the same time. Sts win the game if they write correctly the word or follow the path of letters in order to win and pass to another level. This is the most accurate way of learning for students because they do not feel pressure and they just want to get the right answer to win.

I must say I just looooooved Spelling City because it provides different ways to revise vocabulary in context, work with inital sound recognition, spelling practice, listening comp. You provide the list of words and you have a set of activities that kids can work on, from simple activities for sts who need more asistance to more complex activities for sts who have gained more knowledge.

I also loved Quizlet, I thought of giving kids the oportunity to create the cards themselves according to their needs and adapting them to their learning styles, for example, some kids will need the picture and the word, others prefer words and definitions or a combination of both. Students would benefit by working on their classmates cards. I liked the fact that it has different activities to do with the vocabulary in question, spelling, listening and spelling, games. I would, after presenting a new unit, create a class in Quizlet, ask students to create a unit based on the vocabulary they found difficult, didn't know or have a hard time remembering, and then I would encourage everybody to explore those units and use them to study, play, revise, etc. I think this would be fun and beneficial for everybody, students will be responsible for the creation of the material they need in order to acquire knowledge and they would also benefit from the work their classmates have done. I'm also thinking that kids can be assigned different topics and create different things to contribute to the class.

See you!
Lirio

We can use popplet to create a mindmap as a pre-writing activity. This will help students to organize their ideas, vocabulary, concepts, etc. They can share their mindmap with some classmantes (and/or the teacher) and have some feedback. Perhaps , questions may arise about a part of the mind map, and this can put in black and white how week an argument is or how unrelated a paragraph is.
Students with dyslexia usually fail in seeing connections or find some really unusual ones, so mind maps are worth teaching.
Agustina Torok

Word Documents Speak button is just awesome. And they can use it at home, regardless of whether they have Internet access. It also gives them independence to write whatever they want to practice speaking. I would use this tool with my fifth-grade students to practice the lyrics for a daily routine rap.
