We read a good variety of books together, and it's fun to discuss what happens, especially cliffhanger chapters. I also like to read magazine articles since I am a busy mom during the year, and they are fast, easy reads.  Summertime, I read as much as I can, anywhere I can.  :D  

Some recent recommendations that are good to read with a parent or friend, The Ickabog (Rowling), Treasure Hunters (Patterson), and one of my favs, Shipwreckers: The Curse of the Cursed Temple of Curses - or - We Nearly Died. A Lot. (Pruett and Peterson).  It is funny and suspenseful.

I also love reading books with my son! He is only one, so he has a short attention span. But I enjoy the time he slows down and I can sit with him to read! 

When I can get up early before my son wakes up (yes, even adults don't love alarm clocks lol) I enjoy reading the Bible and/or other study books that help me get my day started. This quiet time allows me to be still and work on growing as a person before a busy day!

I read all the time. Reading can transport you to another dimension. You can experience and feel new things just by reading. I just finished Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire and I'm starting to read The Hunger Games currently, and I am already obsessed. As (hopefully) a future writer and actress, I will be able to not only write magnificent stories that can change the way a person feels with just a sentence, but I will also be able to play the characters I write about. Pretty cool right? I mostly read in my book nook with calm music playing or songs by my favorite artists playing. :)
