Both of my parents owned their own businesses; my Father had a orthodontics lab and my Mom had a in-home daycare. I moved down to Athens, Georgia in the summer of 2006, more or less to get a change in scenery (I also had some family that lived there and I wanted to try it out for a summer). After working as an assistant manager at a warehouse for Little Caesars and a Domino's Pizza place, I decided to go back to school. I went to Athens Tech for a semester and then transferred to UGA. I graduated there in the spring of 2010. I began working at Apalachee High School in January of 2011, which is where I taught until 2018.
