DNA (Also short for Deoxyribonucleic acid) is a molecule that every person has in them, DNA's come from our parents and grandparents mixed up and combined into one, sometimes if a DNA is missing a code it could either create problems but sometimes its not bad! DNA has letter codes in them and that is, A, C, G, T and all of those go in order, let's say A, C go together and then g and t, but if one got removed like g, then whatever was on top would go on the bottom and could mess up the DNA.

I learned that people get half their genes from each parent. Everyone has different genes. There are three types of genotypes, homozygous dominant, heterozygous and homozygous recessive. A dominant genotype will take over the gene. A genotype is the gene itself and a phenotype is the trait itself. DNA is made up of four things, A, T, G and C. DNA is shaped as a double helix and stands for Deoxyribonucleic acid.

Genetics are the building blocks of life. There are four different bases for DNA, each goes together in a certain order, a string of bases builds a code that is called DNA. DNA is in a cell called a nucleus. chromosomes make up genes, your genotypes and phenotypes. You get 23 chromosomes from your mom and 23 from your dad. Genotypes are the coded genes, phenotypes are the expressed features. Recessive genes aren't usually expressed in your children, but sometimes in the next gen. Your gene pool is a collection of different genotypes that come from different blood relatives. The different genes in your pool can be expressed at any generation.
