So I was told "Ms. Dee you may not be able to get her to sit still long enough for anything unless it's her napping 🥰 well that was so funny to me. Nevertheless Marley arrives and I put her nap sack away, hung her jacket up and so it begins. 
 After having done a mental assessment (as I do all my students followed with a personal folder ☺️) I learned that Marley loves music and has quite the personality, and has a way of getting her way.

 I greeted her with a good morning song ( my ice breaker☺️ and from that point on I sung everything I had to say to her and let's just say she thinks I'm AWESOME SAUCE. After her choice of free time I eased her into a little shape and color recognition topped off with a nice cherry of sight words ( to get a better ideal of her level), I followed that up with a little entertainment of Word World (great education program) let's just say Marley now has a favorite show.  

Let me skip to her after nap moment🤣😄 well after her nap I think she had a little plan of her own to test the boundary waters ; and let me tell you when she saw that those boundaries only stretched  to the perimeter of her created space she  threw a fit 😄
My my mind quickly shifted to second gear of possible ideas that would grab her attention 🧐
Marley is in training and what do you do when in training; you are guided into a hands on lesson.
So what do you get when you put a stapler, copy paper, dry erase markers and napkins in the presence of a toddler? 
A very satisfied toddler who just knew in themselves that they had you beat with their tantrum throwing but, when you been at this for 20plus years; you definitely know how to perform under tantrums and come out with both parties in tack. 
Marley had just as much of a blast with me as I had with her and I think she's looking forward to coming to class.
