Hi Elementary School Teachers, I wanted to create a space where we could all share ideas, tips, and tricks on how we're all adapting our teaching to best meet the needs of our in-person and virtual students. I'd love to hear what all of you are doing in your rooms so we can continue learning from each other!

(Most of the time) Not Using Airpods

Since I have a loud "teacher voice", I've found that I often don't need my airpods when teaching. Not using them also has allowed me to call on my Zoom students, and the entire class can hear their answers.

Showing In-Person and Zoom Students Video at Same Time

I've found that I can share a video with both my in-person students and Zoom students without my in-person students having to get on Zoom! If you use your projector volume for your in-person students and select "share computer sound" for your Zoom students, both will be able to hear any video you play from your computer without bad audio feedback! Yay!

I like using Peardeck an interactive presentation in which the kids answer questions both at home in class students can do. It's similar to Nearpod.

My mask pouches were breaking so I taught my 2nd graders how to connect their masks on the lanyard. They will do this when they enter in the morning and after recess. For those it is too long on, I have tied a knot in the lanyard so its not tripping them.
