please pray for my brother (ethan) who is an unbeliever. with the nature of our relationship (he’s 8 years older than me, we live far from each other, and don’t talk very often), it’s easy for me to grow weary, sometimes even apathetic. please pray for 1) his salvation and 2) that my strength would be found in the Lord! would i continue to see the urgency and need to carry out the gospel, knowing that our days are numbered.

Please pray for Naomi, someone I flyered to on campus during Welcome Week. When I initially talked to her, we had great conversations about the gospel and she seemed as if she was genuinely seeking. She even came out to one of the events. Since then, her heart has hardened and she doesn't desire to come out to church. Please pray that the Lord would convict her of her sins through His Word and give her the urgency to seek Him knowing that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Also pray that God would use those around her, who can better reach her, to be a light of the gospel.

During campus EVing Abby and I met Alondra. She was raised Catholic and says its something that with time has become something she pursues herself. However, she doesn't feel confident in her salvation or where she would go if she died today because she thinks she still has a lot of things to improve on. She was very receptive during the conversation though and came out to Searchlight last week. Please pray that the Lord will continue to soften her heart and that she may realize that her salvation is not dependent on her works.

Should have put this on a while ago, but Fu Kuan has still not left my mind. When I first met him while EV'ing, he was really open to talk and listen to what I had to say. I started to ask him about his perspective on many things like religion, the afterlife, and the meaning of life. He didn't have many fully fleshed out ideas, merely passing thoughts. And so I was able to share the gospel to him and why we as humans need Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, why there is truly hope in the afterlife, and why I was even there in the first place sharing with him. He was hardened, however, and I pray that he would seek the truth of this life with an open mind, and in doing so, that God would reveal Himself to him.

Pray for Marvin, the person who initially brought me out to Berean. I grabbed lunch and had a talk with him since the beginning of the school year. I can see a lot of growth in his knowledge and devotion to being more like Christ. He’s shared with me his experience being at his new church being difficult without any strong believers present to keep him accountable. I opened up about reading a book together and he is very interested in doing so. Please pray that whatever book we decide and the time we have to spend each other can build our faiths up. Ultimately for God to be glorified in our conversations, lessons, and applications to all aspects of our lives!

Please pray for my childhood best friend Sydney - although we grew up in the church together, she has long rejected Christ. She is seeking to find security in her career, unstable romantic relationships, and unhealthy friendships. She has been deeply hurt by people who claimed to be Christians, and as a result, she now refuses to believe in the same God they professed to follow.

Please pray that the Lord would soften her heart, heal the wounds of her past, and free her from the anger and unforgiveness she has carried for so many years. Pray that she would encounter the true love and grace of Christ and come to know Him personally.

He has a lot of questions that he's been asking me and other believers, and though he certainly has intellectual curiosity about Christianity, he's hesitant to check out church or personally engage with ideas like sin and salvation. Pray that God works in him to bring him to repentance and salvation.

Please pray for my friend Justin. We were both friends since middle school and throughout high school. He grew up going to church with his family but never really thought much about his faith. Recently, he’s been interested in going to church but his reasons are still somewhat unclear to me. It seems that he just wants community but I’m trying to have deeper conversations with him about his beliefs. His views on Bible are quite skewed, thinking that God is an imperfect God and that Jesus and God are not the same. Please pray for God to open his heart and soften it. I met Bryce in freshman year through rooming with him and have recently had the chance to live in the same apartment again. By the grace of God, I've been able to share more about the gospel with him while living with him and he's been coming out somewhat regularly on Sundays and Fridays. He seems to agree with views on the vanity of this life and that our minds should be set on the eternal things in Christ, but I can also tell that it doesn't affect his heart all that much.

Pray that God would reveal the depth of the sin that exists in his life and that He would move him to repentance.

I haven't heard back from him after i connected with him on insta though. Please pray that he would continue to seek God in his life and that he wouldn't let it go because of the busyness of college.

I have two Korean friends, Gun (건) and Ju An (주안) that openly tell me that they don't fully believe in Jesus, but they happily come to fellowship every week for the vibes. Both ask questions about WHY they need Christ in their life. They do not feel so sinful, so there is no need for a Savior. Pray that God would provide the means for heavy, desperate realization that God is the holy, holy, holy One and we are utterly stuck in sin without faith in the blood of Christ. Maybe this is through me keeping in touch, other Korean brothers/sisters, sermons, reading the Word alone, a humbling circumstance - whatever it may be to bring them to kneel before the cross!

Pray for my stepdad who though he attends church has very little knowledge of the Gospel, which may be due to his difficulties with English. Pray that the LORD would be able to work through the faithful men around him to be sharing in spite of language barriers and that ultimately for his heart to be softened. Also for my own witness to him, whether in word or action, that I wouldn't allow for the language barrier to be an excuse, but rather that I'd be bold in sharing the truth in love.

Please pray for Drew, to whom Matt and I EV'd to. He has a strong Hindu background, and as a person living in this world, he had a callous view of humanity and mortality. Praise God that he was really interested in listening and receptive to the gospel. Upon our sharing with him, he asked many questions, and ultimately, it came down to the matter of sin in humanity. TPUSA at UCI, that I and the other Christians on Exec Board would be compasstionate with the unbelievers with whom we interact, whether they are in agreement with our political beliefs or hate us for them. Pray that the movement would be gospel-centered, redemptive, and a means by which many come to know Christ.

Ethan: I EV'd to him, and he feels unworthy of Christianity because he's "not a good person." Pray that God would pursue him so he would repent and believe.

Stephen: also someone I EV'd to, He's a professing believer, but I can't tell. He knows good core doctrine, but refuses inerrancy of Scripture, the abomination of homosexuality, etc. Pray that God would reveal the truth and convict him to walk in holiness.

I met up Monday 11/17 with a former classmate from Chinese (Erika lol) and her male-identifying girlfriend, who I met recently and a Turning Point meeting. We're meeting again this Monday, 11/24?. Because their desire for such meetings is to hear about my political beliefs- even though they're hardcore liberal - it has been very easy to share the gospel with them. However, though they are open and eager to learn about my faith and views, it's not out of desire to know God. Pray the Truth would pierce their hearts and for wisdom, love, and compassion on my part as we continue to meet up semi-frequently to have these conversations for the sake of open discourse.

I met two people at EV this week that were very open. The first was Andrew, He is familiar with some Scripture from his pastor Grandpa, but was new to the Gospel. After talking through the importance of sin and justice, he said he would talk with his grandpa over break.

Christian was a first year struggling with why we need to know Jesus rather than just seek God through wisdom. After hearing the Gospel, he said he would read and investigate. Please God open their hearts, and give them diligence in seeking the truth.

For Eshan. I evangelized to Eshan a little while ago and he was at first very receptive, but as we kept meeting and as he kept coming to Bible study, it seemed as we were beginning to hit a wall. God was gracious in that he kept coming, kept asking questions, but just recently I met with him and he said he was thinking of moving away entirely from Christianity in favor of a more "spiritual" direction which made more sense to him. Pray for God to reveal the truth to him.

I encouraged him to check out other churches and read the Word. He seems like he wants to know God, but he struggles finding the truth. Went EV this past week and talked to two guys that were both curious about the Gospel.

Andar, Hindu believer but doesn't fully believe, asked lots of good questions about the Gospel. I was able to share and answer sufficiently to some degree and invited him to searchlight. But pray that he would genuinely seek the LORD and that God would grow the seed that's planted.

Pray for Lawrence, who Brandon and I EV'd to. It seems like he's hardened and asked lots of good questions like "why does God allow evil," and "why would a loving and good God punish and send people to hell?" But overall, by God's grace, we answered with boldness and truth from the Word of God, and it seemed he softened somewhat. But pray for the LORD to work in his heart and that true believers would come his way to evangelize to him, we hope and trust that God will work all the more in his heart...

Brandon. He has knowledge, he has been taught the truth, there have been continued opportunities to minister and share with him over these past 3 years of school and yet he just seems to sway back and forth. He doesn't have any urgency and feels he has no need for God. Pray that the Spirit would give him the eyes to see and the ears to hear, that by His power alone Brandon's heart would be softened, by whatever measure of God's grace, both harsh and kind.

Pray that I would continue inviting friends out even though they don't come. That I would not feel discouraged by results but do this continually out of love for them and their salvation. Also that I would be okay with not having the answers to every question, but that God would sustain me in my conversations.

Please pray for my friend David. I met him when I EV'd. He said he is Christian but does not go to church as much and doesn't really read his Bible. Pray that he would have a greater heart for the Lord and that he wouldn't neglect his worship and communion with God. Recently he shared he's going through a really tough time, pray that this time would draw him closer to God rather than away; that he would seek refuge in the Lord and run to the arms of Jesus Christ.

Maya- Ev'd to her and she had a very positive outlook on life and little care for the Gospel. Pray that she would recognize the fleeting and broken nature of the world in light of the gospel.

Charles- also Ev'd to, felt that the world made perfect sense in terms of science, and no need to seek out the one behind it (even if there is one). Prayer that heart would be softened and urgency in knowledge of coming judgement.

Pray for my teammate Colin. I've had early morning practices w/him but I initially met him through flyering. The Charlie Kirk situation gave him a desire to get right w/ God and he expressed interest coming to Bible study in the spring. Ironically he was approached by an older gentlemen who was flyering for some booklet as a Christian. Please pray that his heart can see God reaching out. Help him to see the temporary futility of life and the reality of eternity. So that his priorities aren't subjective but built on truth.

Please pray for my twin sister, Rachel. Her heart has been so hardened to the gospel that if I mention God once, she'll change the subject or she'll close off and won't talk to for hours-on YouTube. Please pray that her heart will be opened to the gospel, and she'll see God's glory and come to God in humility and repentance instead of hiding from God (she knows that she is a sinner, but refuses to repent and goes to worldly things- video games, career, music, etc.) and studying in the rut of her depression and suicidal ideation.

Pray for Alec. We met recently & discussed the Gospel in great length. At first he said if there was a God, He owed Alec an apology for the pain in the world. I explained that God does not rejoice in pain, but uses it to shape us or convict us. He doesn't understand God's fatherly love, but he was curious as he had never thought of God as loving. Pray for my friend Telma, who recently came to church twice. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, she is leaving Concordia to go back to her home in Norway. Pray for Virgil! I just had a call with him and his heart's growth for God has been tremendously unexpected. He is currently at home right now working but his co workers have invited him to go to church. Most of them are Christians and a couple of them he's pretty close with. God has been opening the eyes of his heart over the vacation and work break he's had these past four weeks. He's realized the mindless activities and laziness that are fruitless. He's grown to strive for truth in purpose for Christianity, not simply being a habit to attending things in California but a passion for consciously choosing Christ. He's been actively praying this past week with his prayer request to let the knowledge of Christ overflow into an understanding that is personal to him. When I asked him what he tells his co workers about his own faith, he told me that he just says that he is someone who goes to church. Please pray that as God forms his heart of understanding, he may be able to confess Jesus as Lord and call himself a believer. I recommended a Bible plan and for him to read something together with one of his closest christian co-worker friend. Pray that in taking of God's Word, he may see God strengthening him and the necessity for daily bread.

A friend of mine who used to come out to Berean recently got placed in my life again after leaving UCI for a year. In freshman year, I was walking pretty closely with her, as she is an unbelieving PK who is openly bisexual and becoming more and more worldly. We happen to be in the same class - completely by accident, but she seems cold towards me now. I have a suspicion that she doesn't want to reopen conversations about her homosexual lifestyle and various addictions. Please pray for her heart to be softened and for opportunities to love on her despite her attempts to escape haha. I love her and miss her friendship a lot. Joy!

Pray for Adam, who's a 3rd year at UCI that Erika and I EV'd to. Adam grew up in the Catholic church but saw the corruption in the church. As a result, he focuses a lot on the genuineness of the faith, where he wants to have an authentic lifestyle that believes God through his actions. However, after having hearing the Gospel from us, he still doesn't fully realize that it's through faith in Christ that justified us. Pray that he may come to Searchlight and Gospel night. He said his family is Christian and he himself also is, but he hasn't attended church in a while and doesn't read the Bible, only every now and then he listens to worship songs. 1) My godsister Tricia as we prepare for her Filipino debut (like quinceñera but for 18yrs old); she and her family are very close with mine. We've been witnessing to them for years, but their dad, Derek is embittered against the church & very hardened. Their mom, Jen, is a professing Catholic but she's not. She practices some Buddhist superstitions too. Erick, the 16 year old, seems most open, but I don't often get to ask him about it. Pray my brother Royce (age 18) would be bold & compassionate in ministering to him. Tricia is open; I've shared the gospel a few times, but she continues to want control of her own life. The gospel "makes sense" to her, but she doesn't believe it. She's come to Verean & Bstudy a few times. Pray for my wisdom & her softened heart.

Someone else I briefly got to talk to at the track meet was Brady. He use to attend a Presbyterianism church but stopped and hasn't gone to any since coming back. He said he didn't find the traditional smaller church as appealing, so he only attends his home church when he's home. He was open to come to Berean on Sundays but it is a bit harder to talk to him more since he is a distance runner. Pray that his faith would fuel his desire to be w/ the body and obeying truth and not his feelings.

Although he is aware that a homosexual lifestyle is sinful, I think he doesn't realize the depth/weight of his sinful nature which has led him to be complacent sometimes in his seeking & desire to know God better. Please pray for Japan. It's a very beautiful country on the outside, everything seems to be ok. But in reality there is a lot of darkness. Many people don't know God, nor do they care because they can be caught up in the world and worshipping idols. Shintoism and Buddhism dominate Japan and many people believe if they do some ritual they will be pure. Please pray that they (Japan's people) would know God, His judgement, their sin, and their need for a savior which is only fulfilled in Christ. Me and Ben EV'd to someone on Wednesday named Raymond. He's a senior trying to be a firefighter. He has some typa faith w/ Christianity but nothing firmly grounded. Last semester he was reading the Bibe on his own but he hasn't since then. After clarifying what the gospel was and mentioning Bible study, he seemed inclined to come. Please pray for God to plant a willingness in his heart. That the knowledge that he learns can stir up his mind to consider the heavenly, eternal & joyful rewards.

Please pray for my coworker Quang, who I tried to evangelize to some time ago. He was very averse to even hearing about religion, but he opened up a lot about his difficult past. His family is Catholic and at the end of our conversation he admitted he was considering seeking religion. Pray that he would come to know the gospel, confront the sins he struggles with, and surrender to Christ.

Please pray for fan who I met on UCI campus. Wasn't as open in the beginning when it came to why Jesus had to die for our sins. As we were able to continue to talk about sin more so in his life, he admitted that his lifestyle as a "Christian" was wrong. I was able to get his number, but please pray that his heart will be convicted and broken of the sin in his life, that he realizes there is nothing he can do to save himself. That his desires and life will only change through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Colin. Freshman. Met at cold contact but did track together. TLDR: He was hesitant on committing to the God in the Bible. Says he believes in God generally. Recently called me and lmk that he was having some issues w/ his relationship. Said personally he needed to get right w/ religion. Been pretty hard on him. Stopped doing track rn. I'm living w/ him next school year. Pray for transforming grace for him to repent and receive the gospel not religion.

My brother is active at his church but isn't a member, and it's uncomfortable for us to have gospel conversations. I work at Starbucks. Most of my coworkers (including my manager) are not saved. I pray that I am a good witness to them! I used to complain about working there a lot but recently, I’ve been a lot more grateful for that place and even express it too. I always encourage my coworkers and even write nice notes to them. I always try building relationships with the customers, especially the regulars. About a year ago, the new CEO instilled a policy where we have to write on every cup. I always write nice things. There’s verbal EV but there’s also lifestyle EV. I hope that others would see Christ through my life and the way I bring myself to work. Pls pray for my coworkers and that they are saved! Also pray for the customers as well.

A friend from high school who also goes to UCI. He grew up around Christianity and in college seemed to take faith "more seriously" in attending church occasionally and on campus fellowship. While he intellectually knows the gospel and claims to have faith, his unrepentant attachment to the world's pleasures leads me to believe that he may be deceiving himself. Please pray that his eyes are opened to his need of a repentant life! His name is Peter Yoon.

Please pray for some of my extended family who profess to be believers but aren't fully surrendered to believing in and obeying God's word. Pray that their hearts would be softened, that they would come to a right understanding of who God is so they can be obedient to His will and true believers if any aren't truly saved. Tabling EV: I met Alex, culturally Jewish, fundamentally agnostic. He questioned God for punishing us for being born into Slavery to Sin. I met Heath, we spoke for an hour about faith & ___, he simply didn't want to believe, and placed his faith in other explanations for Christs Resurrection. I met Adam, he fundamentally agreed with everything we spoke of and the Gospel, but simply didn't think it was worth. Pray for them to experience the love and character of God and grow to love Him in faith.

He is very defensive when talking about God and the need for a Savior. His heart is hardened and unwilling to recognize the sin in his life. He said he had bad experiences in the past of going to Church. He said that he is interested in reading and looking into Christianity and the Bible. Pls pray for my friend Steph. She is also a senior and she was on my heart this morning. I met her 2 years ago through a campus organization called KCM at uci. It’s a Christian club that sends students on missions and they do a good job preaching the Gospel. I don’t know if Steph is a believer. She grew up Catholic and it seems like she wants to know more about God. The last time I saw her, something had happened and she was crying. I tried to comfort her but she said she didn’t want to talk to me. I was really sad cuz she was one of my best friends. I reached out to her but she never responded. That was a year ago. I know she still attends KCM and her bf takes her to his home church so I have lots of hope. I pray that she’ll be softened by the Truth and that she comes to know God.

Pray for kevin a guy I met while eving He is very confused on what “Christianity” is. Being surrounded by “Christian” friends his view has been skewed seeing the sins and the hypocrisy within these people and churches. He believes that there is no denial of a God but doesn’t know who He is and what role he plays. He says that the only faith he has is in his own mind of an idea of “Christianity”. He still yet struggles the weight of his sin and the reality of the days of judgement that are to come. Pray that as he continues to seek what is right that his heart is softened and he is slow to judge others and examine his own heart and recognize his own need for a savior. Pray that he will seek this with urgency, understanding that this is his eternal life at stake and that there is no tomorrow that is promised…

“ josh “ : Met him while eving and met up in person one time. He has all the knowledge of the gospel and he understands that he is sinful. As we talked he struggles to see the weight of his sin before a Holy God. As I asked him whether he believes that Jesus Christ is his Lord and savior he struggles to answer still. He says he doesn’t know why he can’t commit and surrender his life… As I asked more there are still things in this world that he find hard or “impossible” to let go. Pray that he continues to examine himself and the things he hold closest to. Pray that he is convicted of these worldly things and that it will not bring the satisfaction that he is seeking for, that there is only true rest in knowing Christ and following him. Pray that his knowledge of the gospel doesn’t hinder him from seeking further. Pray for me as we plan to continue to meet up for diligence and preparation and to continue to love and be a witness of Christ to Him. To ultimately glorify God through the spreading of his word.

Please pray for my high school best friend Jeremy. We haven't seen each other ever high school ending since he went to play in college for basketball but he is now back for the summer. I was able to reach out and have the opportunity to start playing basketball with him on Wednesdays. He goes to a "Christian church" time to time with his family but lacks any beliefs and has no thoughts on the topic. Our relationship in high school was built off of many worldly things and through all of it we both hurt each other.. I was able to humbly confess the wrongs that I have done to him and he was understanding enough to forgive me. Through my recent baptism I was able to share to him how the Lord has changed my life radically and now I have been given a purpose in my life. As we spoke he told me how he was struggling mentally and with his relationship with his gf. Please pray as we continue to see each other this summer that I am able to share the gospel to him in love and humility understanding the exact place he is in. Pray that his heart will be conflicted in his brokenness to see his need for a savior, that the things of this world will never truly satisfy him and that true rest is only in Christ. Please pray for me to not take these opportunities for granted
