Encouraging diversity in the workplace means supporting professionals with social, cultural, racial, etc. differences and making everyone feel welcome.   Adopting a diversity and inclusive policy not only talks about ethics but brings many advantages such as hiring the best people while creating open environments where everyone is accepted.  Diversity really stuck out to me when I moved from Brazil to California.  California is truly diverse with people from all backgrounds.

Individualized curriculum fits all children. This is important because every child is different, so a curriculum needs to be able to adapt to all children. Another curriculum is emergent which uses the experience and interest of children to plan the curriculum. In another class we are studying the curriculum and the discussion has been on planning and key elements of an effective teaching curriculum. An emergent curriculum is tailored in my opinion to the children using their likes, interest or ideas to develop learning opportunities and group discussion between children and students. This is developing social skills, language/communication, cognitive skills and emotions.    
My educational philosophy is to lead/teach with love, dedication and patience.  This will result in teaching and helping children to develop and learn to the best of their abilities.  I think that an individualized curriculum should be a part of every educational philosophy to ensure every child is part of the planning, schedule and goals.  In addition, another important part of teaching is developing good relationships with both the children and parents, as well as creating positive, fun and unique learning environments for children tailored to their interests and ideas.
