Museums like the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, the Guggenheim and Gracie Mansion became landmarks of the neighborhood. The school officially moved to the neighborhood in the 1920s. In turn, this move solidified that the school would pull students from these neighborhoods budding in affluence and investing in million dollar homes along 5th avenue.
