Literacy ✏️

We kicked off the week by drawing pictures and writing sentences about our half‑term adventures. From days out to cosy moments at home, the children loved sharing what they got up to.

Maths ➗

In Maths, we explored dividing by 2. We practised sharing objects into equal groups and worked together to solve problems.

Music 🎵

Music was full of excitement as we chatted about our favourite songs and imagined which ones we’d love to perform on stage. Some future superstars in the making!

Sensory Baking 🍓🍕

This week’s Sensory Baking was deliciously fun. We made pizza baguettes and colourful fruit kebabs - we have some very creative chefs in the room.

Science 🧲

In Science, we explored magnets and gravity through hands‑on investigations. The children were fascinated by what sticks, what doesn’t, and how things fall.

Topic - Setting Sail 🚢

As part of our topic work, we tested different objects to see whether they would sink or float. Lots of predictions, surprises, and splashes!

Art 📸

We are looking at perception so went on an adventure around our playground, taking pictures of things we could find from far away and up close. Then have used the pictures to draw what we have found.

🧮 In Maths, we have been learning about fractions. During one session, the children cut out different shapes and experimented with folding them into halves and quarters.

They quickly recognised that each part must be equal for it to be a true ½ or ¼. Later in the week, we used Choco Hoops to find half of an amount. The children built a number using the hoops, divided their square into two or four sections, and shared the hoops equally between the groups.

🎵 In Music, we explored more songs that we might like to perform as a class.

🍦 On Thursday, we had a special treat - a McDonald’s lunch and ice cream together.
