I chose to use this photo because the D.C. trip was one of my most favorite memories of 8th grade. I think that this photos important to keep, so that in how every many years it is before someone sees this photo that they know that we got to go on fun trips for school, and that we were able to create happy memories then to last us a life time.

It was so much fun because it got me closer to some of my friends and it’s something I never would have experienced. Even though no one really likes to go to school everyday it really is great and Washburne has made it a lot of fun. It’s like in the Office finale when Darryl said “Everyday when I came to work, all I wanted to do was leave. So why in the world does it feel so hard to leave right now.”

This was fun because it was always something different then our average classroom. These field trips we took at Washburne were very fun and I cant wait to go on more new field trips in high school.

I found it interesting that they put music on the golden record, but I think it is a good idea. When they mentioned that I found myself thinking about all the stupid, but really popular song from though out the years and what if those were on there. The song that came to mind from my time at washburne was Old Town Road by Lil Nas X. This isn’t my favorite song by any means, but there were weeks when this was all I heard though out the halls and I think it was stuck in everyone’s heads for weeks so this is my choice.

Although we may be the most advanced species in the universe, we can make mistakes too. The first time I read this poem I was in seventh grade in Ms. Coyne’s class. This poem has just always been their and its many meanings have helped me get through Washburne.
