- Tyler Kelsen
When I arrive at the Nature Center in the Usury Mountain Park, I first expect to see a group of citizens gathered around a stage or a type of campground. I imagine I will see a ranger or a park employee of some sort explain to us about the history and peoples of the surrounding area. I believe the only issue the community that attends this event will face is the absolute scorching, Arizona heat during the noon showing time. Being the history lover that I am, I think the biggest thing that will hit me, is knowing the amount of dedication and persistence these ancient tribes had to survive in this type of climate back in the day. I also expect to see the park ranger to show us previous signs of life in this area, as well as possibly some artifacts. I'm excited to attend this event because of the beautiful scenery that will available, and the exciting history lesson that I'm sure I will receive.
