Since I just started, it has been mostly traditional lesson, but my students have found out that they can work at their own pace. It has improved my ability to differentiate and it has increased student motivation and engagement. I have more students completing work and turning it in and I have more students engaged in learning. It has also enabled me to individualize learning for students and work 1-on-1 with them more effectively.

The curriculum does not ask the students to attempt to solve the problem of erosion. I provided a variety of materials (rocks, door screen, straws, bigger sand, etc) and asked each team to reduce the amount dirt that was eroded. They could use google to research possible methods or they could just experiment.
