"I didn't want to hurt you, but I did anyway ."(1:36) I use this quote because Troy was in love with his wife but he still chose to cheat on her because he thought he needed someone to get away from her. "it was the only way to hide the lies" (0:36)  I choose this because Troy was hiding the lies of him cheating for awhile, but then he finally tells her when he has to. "You born with two strikes on you before you come to the plate" (Troy pg. 95 - 96) This related between the theme of Fences and the theme of the song because Troy got his last strike  and realized he messed up all he can do is say sorry.
